I'm a Michigan author, and I’ve been writing freelance in the film & television industry for years, particularly in horror. I am also an annual guest on true crime podcast Check the Locks.
PIECES OF YOU is my debut novel, a creepy but emotional thriller that tackles abduction, murder, grief, and the maternal impact on us all. I watch a lot of true crime documentaries, and thoughts started to formulate: why do people automatically assume women have run off when they go missing? What makes a killer? The impact of becoming a mother made me think more deeply about the world as a whole and inspired my entire writing process. Though the subject matter is dark and disturbing, I think it will resonate with all of us.
On the personal side, I love to hang out with my son, travel, get out in nature, watch bad horror movies with friends, and spend as much time near water as I can. I was a competitive figure skater for years. Mindfulness and gratitude are important practices in my life. And of course, I love to read the kind of books that inspire me to write – anything from Lisa Jewell, Cynthia D’Aprix-Sweeney, and Gillian Flynn.

E. L. Wall is a stay at home mom, born and raised in Rhode Island where she currently lives with her husband, their three kids and a loyal black lab.
An avid beach goer and frequent hiker, E. L. Wall and her family enjoy being outside exploring areas all around New England.
She has always enjoyed writing, and finally took the plunge and self published her first novel, Given the Chance in January 2024. From there she self published her second novel, Letters to Olive in July 2024.
E. L. Wall plans to continue writing, and has been working on a third book with a darker edge to it.
